I spent a decade in subsea hardware and oilfield services: surface wellheads, ROV tooling, offshore operations in the Gulf. Every workflow was manual by default. You learned fast that if a process could be systematized, it should be.

After that I moved into commercial roles at industrial SaaS companies: pricing models, partner programs, revenue forecasting, GTM architecture. Same principle: the manual work was everywhere, and it was costing people serious time.
